Hi spoke with with Kevin Lacilla a couple weeks back and he recommended the PAK132 for my recyclables, he asked me to post something if I had the time. Well I usually don’t have the time for these things but every day I see my recyclables sitting safely in the Bearicuda PAK132 bin and I don’t have to start off my day in discussed. You see I had these little plastic bins that were unsecured and bears and other critters would get into. Kevin Lacilla recommended the PAK132 and what a great little can. I put all my jars and stuff that has a high food smell that attracts this black bear and other animals and nothing gets into it. It has taken a beating, can does not look all that hot I must admit, but its a garbage can. To make it look a little better I powerwash it down once a month. Although this bear did put 4 teeth marks through the side, which sort of stinks! Can I plug that up with anything? Like some kind of plastic putty, they are no more than about 1/4″ wide holes each but my concern is that the smell will leak out causing them to continue to come around. All in all no complaints on the Bearicuda Bin, it has done the job many times over. I have a break in about 1-2 times per week and I got the darn can about 3 months ago. I am starting to see less and less attempts, he has been going to the neighbors yard more and more often but then again they are about 1/4 mile away, I live in the sticks!
